LOREN

Founder, Creative Direction, Strategy & Product Development

Loren was developed from initial concept through positioning, identity, product design and ongoing growth, with full responsibility held across both strategic and executional decisions.

The project addressed a structural problem rather than a visual one. Many contemporary lifestyle brands rely on novelty to remain visible, creating a cycle of reinvention and sustained marketing effort. Products perform well in images but struggle to build lasting attachment in daily use. The objective became constructing a brand that accumulates recognition over time instead of repeatedly reintroducing itself.

Research focused on behavioural attachment and role clarity rather than trends, examining why certain objects remain in use while others are replaced despite comparable quality. Longevity proved to be driven less by durability than by recognisable identity. Objects that persist tend to hold a stable position in a person’s routine and maintain a consistent personality across time.

From this, a positioning based on familiarity rather than novelty was established. The brand does not depend on seasonal aesthetic change but on a consistent language capable of expanding across categories without dilution.

Identity system, tone of voice and product principles were developed alongside the physical pieces so strategy and form evolved together. Jewellery, clothing and objects follow the same structural logic, allowing new categories to strengthen recognition rather than reset perception.

Creative direction extends through photography, website architecture and communication. Imagery prioritises use, scale and behaviour over spectacle so customers understand how pieces live with them before purchase. The emphasis is comprehension rather than persuasion.

Growth is gradual rather than seasonal, testing whether clear positioning can reduce reliance on marketing by allowing recognition and trust to drive decision-making.
